    A broad-based new campaign promoting wallpapers is launched by the VDT (German Association of Wallpaper Manufacturers). Cinema commercials and City Light posters spread the message that “wallpapers turn walls into a home“.

  • Retro wave

    A.S. Création’s RETRO VISION collection celebrates the return of 1970s-style wallpapers. A large end user package comprising banners, postcards and much more is launched. Retro Vision even makes it into the media, with locations for the DSDS (“German Idol”) TV show and in-crowd pubs artistically decorated with the wallpapers.

  • Takeover of wallpaper wholesalers

    Acquisition of three wallpaper wholesalers in France (P.P.S.E. and Edirama) and the Netherlands (Wandvisie). P.P.S.E. SA and Edirama SA are renamed A.S. Création (France) SA, while Wandvisie is renamed A.S. Création (NL) B.V.

  • Wallpaper Styleguide

    In cooperation with the German Design Council in Frankfurt, A.S. Création develops the “Wallpaper Styleguide”, a decision-making aid enabling consumers to find the wallpaper that matches their personal style from the large A.S. range using a straightforward analysis of their interior design style.

  • “Meistervlies - Tapezieren in Bestzeit”

    Nonwoven wallpapers are becoming increasingly popular. A.S. Création therefore launches a consumer campaign for nonwovens using a catchy slogan (“MEISTERVLIES - Tapezieren in Bestzeit”). Large-size posters and ads in consumer magazines use unique images to highlight the high-speed benefits of MEISTERVLIES wallpapers.

  • “Farbe” exhibition in Cologne

    “MEISTERVLIES - Tapezieren in Bestzeit” is presented for the first time at the “Farbe” exhibition in Cologne, the trade fair for the painting trade. In keeping with the slogan, the first wallpapering championships are staged at the show, presented by TV personality Ulli Potofski. The result: amazing wallpapering times and extravagant design ideas that testify to the high-speed benefits of “Meistervlies” wallpapers.

    In the same year, German DIY store chain toom BauMarkt GmbH awards A.S. Création Tapeten AG with the TOOM BAUMARKT SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2005 in recognition of A.S. Création`s “outstanding achievements”. 12/2005

  • Best service

    Readers of trade magazine EURODECOR award A.S. Creátion a price for the best product availability and delivery service in the wallpaper industry for 2005.
  • ESPRIT home brand licence

    On the occasion of Heimetxtil 2006 in Frankfurt, A.S. Création presents the first ESPRIT home wallpaper collection. The first four design themes are “Ethnik Mix”, “Home Spa”, “Vitalized” and “Grassland”.

  • Launch of redesigned website

    The redesigned website is launched in January, offering a host of new functions. Among the new features are the “Wallpaper Styleguide”, which helps users find their personal interior design style, and “Andy Rolle”, the first online jump&run game of the wallpaper sector.

  • Launch of tapetenshop.de

    In August 2007, A.S. Création launches the first online platform, which offers users a wide product range and service portal and allows them to order their wallpapers online from our retail partners. Features include the “Wallpaper Explorer” – one of the world’s most comprehensive wallpaper search engines – the “Showroom” and the “Wallpaper Styleguide”.
  • ZEN – modular design collection

    A.S. Création presents ZEN, a high-quality nonwoven collection in exclusive colours. The collection is innovative in that all wallpapers can be freely combined as modules on the wall. The result are diverse wall compositions with a very unique, high-quality appeal.
  • A.S. presents the LARS CONTZEN Collection

    Artist Lars Contzen has developed his first wallpaper collection exclusively for A.S. Création. The collection’s patterns and colours express a genuine feeling for life.
    Lars Contzen was born in 1970 and lives and works in Hanau near Frankfurt, where the graduate artist develops wallpapers, floorings, furniture, shop fittings and interior design concepts for international customers. The 'Contzentrade Showroom' near Frankfurt presents the full range of Contzen designs.

  • Architects Paper

    The launch of the Architects Paper brand by A.S. Création marks the start of a new business unit which develops innovative, exclusive wall solutions specifically targeted at architects, designers/stylists and creative interior decorators and planners. Most of the pieces in the collections are produced using complex special processes. Architects Paper products facilitate the creation of entirely new space concepts and moods.
  • Cooperation with Hadi Teherani

    A.S. Création presents the first architects collection under the new "ARCHITECTS PAPER" label. The high-quality nonwoven collection was developed by HADI TEHERANI, one of Germany’s best-known architects. His first wallpaper collection features coordinated fabrics and wall design elements (“shadow” partitioning module)
  • SCHÖNER WOHNEN wallpaper collection

    A.S. Création develops the first SCHÖNER WOHNEN wallpaper collection in cooperation with Gruner + Jahr. SCHÖNER WOHNEN has been Germany's leading home interest magazine for many years and adds an attractive new brand to the portfolio of A.S. Création.
  • A.S. Création establishes joint venture OOO A.S. & Palitra

    A.S. Création and Kof Palitra, Russia’s leading wallpaper manufacturer, establish a joint venture. Named OOO A.S. & Palitra, the joint venture will produce higher-quality wallpapers for the Eastern European market in Russia.

  • Acquisition of wallpaper wholesalers

    A.S Création acquires majority shareholdings in MCF Investissement SA and SCE SA, the two leading wallpaper wholesalers in France. A.S. Création thus strengthens its own position in the important French wallpaper market.

  • Tapetenbestellshop

    A.S. Création has developed an innovative sales tool for the retail sector – the first intuitive “tapeten-bestellshop” (wallpaper ordering shop). The central element of this attractive POS module is a large monitor with state-of-the-art touch screen functionality.
    The tool allows the salesperson to help the customer choose their dream wallpaper from some 2,500 wallpapers using a variety of different search functions. The wallpapers can then be visualised in freely selectable home environments.

  • Digital printing

    New dimensions, new perspectives – forget the limitations imposed by fixed wallpaper repeats. A.S. Création uses digital printing technology to put into practice all those creative ideas that cannot be realised with silk printing and gravure printing.
    A.S. Création launches the digital printing era with 120 designs for truly spectacular walls.

    Under the license of, and in cooperation with, BRIGITTE, Germany’s biggest and most successful women’s magazine, A.S. Création has developed a high-quality collection specifically targeted at fashion-conscious and textile-minded women.
  • tapeten-bestellshop 2.0

    A.S. Création presents the first complete software update for tapeten-bestellshop.
    Many improvements over the first version have been integrated into Version 2.0 and usability has been enhanced significantly.

  • The wallpaper department of the future

    A new wallpaper department showcasing a host of new ideas has resulted from a cooperation between A.S. Création and “Knutzen – Schönes Wohnen”, a retailer based in Kiel. A large sample book desk forms the heart of the department and is supported by four new concepts. 1 - “tapeten-bestellshop”, whose touch-screen functionality supports the sales staff; 2 - the “Flipper”, which allows consumers to “flip” through different original wallpapers, 3 - the “sample bar”, from which consumers can take home original wallpaper samples; 4 - the wallpaper sample hangers, which present combinations of different wallpapers.
